Woke up at 6:45am to watch the sunrise with my friend, the only person who I would wake up for. I am so fortunate to live in a place as beautiful as California, and watching the sun slowly break over the valley and set the clouds on fire was absolutely breathtaking.
We drove up deep into the hills and pulled off on a slight shoulder and sat on this little dirt ridge where we could see the entire bay stretched out ahead of us. It was tranquil and beautiful, completely worth only getting 6 hours of sleep for 🙂
For the smoothie bowl, the base was bananas, mangoes, strawberries, and a few cherries. For toppings it was homemade cinnamon granola, sliced fresh bananas, dried apricots, and a line of chia seeds. It was the perfect healthy start to the day and even motivated me to go for a right after, something I usually don’t do since I hate running in the mornings.
